Internship

We believe it’s important to pay it forward. Design needs to be practiced. Everyone on our team had a chance to practice and prove themselves. People took bets on them.

We see less of that today than we’d like to. Some of the greatest work out there comes from people with non-traditional backgrounds.

Unfortunately, being an incoming designer is not easy these days. There are people incentivised to push a narrative that design is somehow losing it’s value. The market is fragmented, and great jobs are rare. Often, they’re not the best option for less experienced people.

If you don’t have a network or a large and very real catalogue of work to show for it, it may not be easy to break into break-out startups.

Our model means we spend a lot of time with these kind of companies. We’re the closest thing to in-house. So, sometimes, we’ll offer internships:

You come and work with us for a while. We’ll pair you with one of our more experienced designers, and you can learn from them while supporting them on real-world problems within real companies.

We’ll pay you well. We’ll accommodate your schedule if you’re still in school.

We might find the next person to join our team, and even if we don’t, we’ll be able to introduce you to companies we’ve worked with.

You should already be experimenting with designing software, and in almost all cases, you should also already be sharing it online. We’re not super interested in those that compete too much on visuals in a crowded timeline, but we do want to see grit and out-of-the-ordinary taste.

Admissions closed

When can I apply? We open admissions seasonally. Currently, we’re at capacity and can’t guarantee a senior designer will be available for you to trail them. We’ll make sure it’s known when admissions open up again.

We keep a list of people interested in our services and the work that we do for others, and occasionally email. Put yourself on the list to receive updates.
