Introducing MOMENT and PLACEMENT
We’re excited to announce two additional service companies joining the PERMANENT family. All in service of helping companies build the function that turns a business from “technically works” into “people want this, trust this, remember this, and keep paying for this.”
In summary, we are doing two things:
- Some companies came to us looking for help with a specific problem, often work that we didn’t feel would require building a function for over time. It’s just momentary help, say, for a launch, and in its nature limited and time-boxed. We are now offering a service especially for this scenario.
- There are companies out there that don’t need help establishing the function of design because they have already done so. These teams just need help with finding additional people. We are now extending access to our sourcing to founders and those responsible for design hiring.
We didn’t want to fold all these things into PERMANENT, and they are problem spaces large enough to warrant someone’s full attention. Thus, we’re adding two more companies to our family: MOMENT and PLACEMENT.
First, I’m excited to announce that we have acquired a strategic stake in Riley Hennigh’s company Oratory and are aligning the company with our service model. Oratory will be discontinued to make room for MOMENT. Riley will remain CEO of MOMENT and direct both his team and the company.
Leon, who has co-founded PERMANENT with me and heads our recruiting service, is launching PLACEMENT to enable access to sourcing work we’re already doing. Leon will join as CEO of PLACEMENT while continuing his work with us as is.
As for PERMANENT, nothing is changing. We’ll continue embedding into companies, and recruiting our way out of them again at the end will continue to be a large part as to why our model is so successful.
We’re working on a few more things we’re excited to announce properly really really soon (like our space in Berlin that you might have seen on Twitter).
I’m personally super excited to offer options for a wider spectrum of founders and organisations I speak to, and especially excited about the companies being built today.
